Near-Death Experience (NDE)
For many years, scientists have tried to answer the question of whether there is life after death.
The big problem, however, is that there are no reliable and objective means through which evidence could be gathered.
The best thing we have got are near-death experiences.
Near-death experiences are events that occur as a person is dying or is, in fact, already clinically dead.
Most people who have had such experiences were unconscious at the time but also had an absence of breathing and heartbeat.
However, despite being clinically dead, these people had experiences that were incredibly lucid.
While all NDEs are different from each other, scientists have found that most of them share a very similar pattern of elements that occur in a very consistent order.
Researchers have concluded that NDEs may contain all or some of the following twelve elements:
1. Out-of-body experience; 2. Heightened senses; 3. Intense positive emotions; 4. Passing through a tunnel; 5. Encountering a mystical or brilliant light; 6. Encountering other beings;
7 A sense of time and space alteration; 8. Life review; 9. Encountering “unworldly” realms; 10. Learning special knowledge; 11. Encountering a boundary; 12. Either voluntary or involuntary return to the body.
