Introduction

Deathbed visions are the visions reported by people, as they are approaching the end of their life. Usually at the hospital, while they’re surrounded by their loved ones.

These visions include astonishing details, and possibly a glimpse into the afterlife - how it looks, who is there and more.

Deathbed visions are not understood well, but there has been more research about the topic lately.

Deathbed vision is very different from a near-death experience.

In NDE, a person is completely out - in a coma, with no vital signs. Their consciousness is somewhere else and they are basically having a forceful out-of-body experience.

After some time, they return back and can report on places and events, that they couldn’t possibly know.

In deathbed visions, a patient is near death, but is still here - can communicate, can describe the experience as it is happening.

They are aware of people around them, but are also aware of something no one else in the room sees - the spirits.

Those spirits usually are their deceased loved ones, that came to take them away, but can sometimes stay a little longer.

Reports like this are very common across all cultures!

Professor Stafford Betty has done an amazing job of collecting and making sense of all the reports.

The 2 most common types of deathbed visions he collected are seeing spirits and describing the other world.
