What is the Mind?
Mind is such an interesting thing, but we don’t know much about it. It’s a shame that there is no mention of it in schools.
Is it the brain? - No
Is it IN the brain? - No
Is it even in our body? - Not really!
When we say mind, we are talking about who we truly are. Consciousness. Awareness.
Mind isn’t event material. It exists outside of time and space.
There is a lot of evidence of this in the form of near-death experiences (NDEs) and out-of-body experiences (OBEs), where the person can perceive things outside of their physical body.
OK, great - but how is this even possible?
Unfortunately, we don’t know for sure. No one does. It’s impossible for us to understand something that is so much bigger than us and outside of what we consider real.
Shamans were the first ones to explore different states of consciousness. Some say first shamans existed more than 100 000 years ago!
Then there are religions. All of them have a central person, that has unusual experiences, meets beings outside of our reality and has superpowers. This is nothing else, but a different state of consciousness.
Many scientists talk about it too: Carl Jung and the collective unconsciousness or Schrodinger with his famous cat. Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla attribute some of their biggest discoveries to intuition, visions and dreams!
Max Planck, theoretical physicist and Nobel Prize winner in an interview in 1931 said:
“I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.”
There are so many interesting things to cover, so let’s move on!

Different States
There are many states of consciousness which the Mind covers.
There are also many ways to achieve these states. Some people use drugs or alcohol to do it, but we will focus on doing it using our mind alone.
Think of consciousness on a continuum. As a radio dial that you can turn to tune into different stations. First state has 100% of awareness in this reality, while the last one has 0%:
Standard, daydreaming, meditation, remote viewing, dreams, lucid dreams, OBE, NDE, death.
Standard
This is the most common state of consciousness we all are in, most of the time. We are 100% with our thoughts in this reality.
Daydreaming
We are physically in this reality, but our thoughts are somewhere else. This is experienced often - thinking about loved one, planning, remembering the memories…
Meditation
There are many types and levels of meditation, but the common part is letting go of all the thoughts that you currently have and reach a peaceful and calm state, with no judgement.
Remote Viewing
The fun starts here! This is the first state of consciousness where unusual phenomena arise. It is the ability to perceive things, places, events outside of your ordinary senses. And almost everyone can learn to do it!
Dreams
We all know them, we all have them. Is it just a fake reality created by the subconscious mind or something else? Are we truly unconscious during deep sleep or do we just not remember what was going on?
Lucid Dreams
Lucid dreams are dreams in which you become aware you are dreaming. Looking to explore the dream world? There are many techniques to achieve lucid dreaming at will.
Out-of-Body Experience
Also known as astral projection or astral travel. It is a state of consciousness where you are separated from your physical body. It is safe and it can be learned.
Near-death Experience
An unfortunate experience where a person's consciousness is knocked out of the body for some time. So, it is a form of OBE. We don’t have any exercises for that, so don’t worry!
Death
Consciousness is 0% in the body. Some think of it as the end of life, but in reality - it is just a shift of consciousness to another place.

Unusual Phenomena
Let’s see what are some common but unusual phenomena people are experiencing.
Precognition
Ever thought about someone and then you receive a call or message from them? Ever had a dream and it became reality tomorrow? That’s precognition!
Clairvoyance
It is just a fancy word for seeing the future or perceiving something that is outside of our normal senses. Precognition we cannot control when or how it will happen. Clairvoyance we can.
Phenomena Related to Sleeping
A feeling of suddenly falling into the bed, hearing loud engine noises or high pitch noises, feeling you are floating or vibrating, seeing strange beings, light, going into a tunnel - these are all phenomena related to OBE!
Seeing People's Energy
Yes, this can sometimes happen to people who experience OBEs often. It can help you understand that reality is bigger than the perception through the 5 senses.
Mediumship and Ghosts
Communicating with deceased ones seems to be possible and there are various techniques and a lot of evidence to support it.
"Just Knowing Something"
Ever had an experience you just know something, even though there is no rational way for you to know? That is extrasensory perception!
Healing
Although very rare, it is possible to heal with the mind alone! This is practiced by shamans and healers all over the world and it can also be done alone, with the power of intention and OBE.
Are you excited to learn these skills, and many more? We are too! Jump right into other lessons from our library and check the tools as well! And don’t forget to have fun! :)
