Overview
The Law of One is a series of five metaphysical monographs published in the 1980s by Schiffer Books.
The books were authored by a multidimensional non-human being called Ra through the process of trance channeling.
In the trance sessions, Carla L. Rueckert acted as the channeler, Don Elkins as the questioner, and Jim McCarthy as the scribe.
The books are written in a question-and-answer format and contain both commentary and transcripts of the dialogue between Don Elkins and Ra.
Based on the transcripts, Ra describes itself as a being made of a whole civilization of extraterrestrial beings that are combined into a single unified consciousness (referred to as a social memory complex).
It is a higher density (higher consciousness) life form of pure energy that spoke through the body of the trance channeler.
The group of entities said that they were from the sixth density level of spiritual evolution (millions of years more advanced than humans).
To transmit the material, Carla L. Rueckert entered an unconscious trance state through which Ra could communicate with our level of reality.
The material explains that the Law of One is one of twelve universal principles under a basic principle that all is One. Essentially, all things are ultimately the same essence manifested in various forms and configurations.
The whole series explores the relationship between this core principle and other aspects of life such as anthropology, cosmology, history, physics, biology, etc.
